Ideally, brush your teeth after every meal to remove all food residue and in few minutes after eating the fermentation begins.

3. Food

It should eliminate or reduce the foods containing sugar, like sweets or cakes. It also must reduce food intake between meals, sandwiches, snacks, because every time you eat takes place subsequent fermentation process waste.

SYMPTOMS

The main symptom of caries is pain, which often is triggered or becomes more intense with the touch of sweet or acidic substances, cold or chewing. (more…)

It is a disease process that causes tooth decay and is one of the most common diseases in humans, affecting mainly the molars with the highest incidence in the maxilla and is the main cause of tooth loss.

CAUSES

In the formation of caries involving several factors:

- Action of microorganisms
- Fermentation of carbohydrates from food are converted into organic acids and adhere to the tooth surface. These are, together with the organisms and substances in saliva, tooth plaque, especially in areas that fall outside the scope of the toothbrush.
- Composition and characteristics of saliva, containing or not certain protective factors. (more…)
