Many dentists say that chewing guminstead of preventing tooth decay after a meal may fight dental caries. This course has not otherwise contain sugar , it will create it. The gum works by stimulating the production of saliva and neutralize acids in the mouth that are used by bacteria to de-mineralize the teeth and initiate the formation of dental caries.
It is therefore recommended that chewing sugarless gum after a meal if it is not possible to brush your teeth. Dentists advise not chew more than 10-15 minutes since the long term, increased chewing gum can cause jaw problems. In addition, the chewing gum does not replace brushing and flossing, because it does not remove plaque around the teeth and gums.
